Start your day where Hawai'i truly comes alive. Beneath the surface. This two tank morning dive explores the Puako and Kohala coastlines of the Big Island, where lava formations create underwater landscapes that feel like you're flying through another world.
The morning light reveals caves, arches, and ridges swarming with reef life. You might find yourself cruising past schools of butterflyfish, hovering over sea turtles, or peeking into volcanic structures that look straight out of science fiction.
Unlike Kona's crowded sites, our boat carries no more than six guests, so every dive feels intimate and unhurried. We go where the conditions are best. Sometimes that's to our (or your) familiar favorites, sometimes hidden gems, but always with discovery in mind.
This Puako and Kohala Coast morning dive is one of the most unique scuba experiences on the Big Island. Puako's morning dives are among the best-kept secrets on the Big Island.
With calm seas, vivid visibility, and reefs that stir awake in the first light, this stretch of coast reveals a side of Hawai'i most visitors never see.
Each sunrise dive reveals a different rhythm, from new light on familiar lava arches to reef life you've never seen before, making every return a fresh discovery.
All gear is included. If you would like to, you may bring your own gear.
