At Puako Dive Adventures, we keep things intimate. Our custom 30-foot rigid inflatable boat (RIB) carries no more than six (6) divers and/or snorkelers, so every trip feels like a private charter, and yes, you can book a completely private charter.
Instead of rushing from site to site, we slow down. We dive to discover, what would you like to find? Here you'll glide through otherworldly lava structures, drift alongside curious marine life, and experience the Big Island as few ever do.
Meet Flipper
Flipper moved to Hawai'i 15 years ago with one goal: to dive every day and share the magic of the ocean with others. In 2025, he made that dream real by taking the helm of Blue Wilderness Adventures and relaunching it as Puako Dive Adventures.
A self-proclaimed SciFi nerd (and anime fan), Flipper sees the ocean as Earth's final frontier. There's a world of alien landscapes, strange creatures, and epic stories unfolding in real time, right in front of you.
With Flipper, you'll find a dive master who makes you feel at home in Hawai'i's waters, even as you drift into what feels like another universe.

The Manta Guarantee
If you don't see mantas on your dive, you're invited back at no charge until you do. We will also honor Blue Wilderness's original manta guarantee for guests who dove under that name. This guarantee only applies to the Close Encounters: Manta Edition - Puako Manta Reef Dive | One Tank + Snorkeling
